World’s Best Wireless Data Service Provider Business Traveler, December 17, 2009 Chosen by the readers of Business Traveler magazine, Verizon Wireless was named as the world’s best wireless data service provider in the magazine’s 2009 “Best in Business Travel” Awards. The honor was based on opinions of the publication’s readers regarding companies that have made business travel easier and more productive.
Winner in the 2009 Readers' Choice Survey for Cellular Services PCMag.com, September 15, 2009* Verizon Wireless triumphed in the area of contract cell phone providers based on the company's traditional strengths of customer service, coverage, and call quality. Readers scored Verizon Wireless as #1 in overall customer satisfaction and rated either better or significantly better than average on most measures.
Top Company For Diversity Hispanic Business, September 15, 2009 For the fifth consecutive year, together with parent company Verizon Communications, Verizon Wireless was named to Hispanic Business magazine’s Diversity Elite 60 list. Verizon is ranked 11th on this year's list, which is comprised of companies committed to workforce diversity initiatives, marketing strategies and supplier diversity initiatives that benefit the Hispanic community. The ranking is determined by more than 32 variables that measure a company's commitment to diversity and the Hispanic community, including a company's board membership, senior leadership, recruitment and retention, marketing, and business conducted with Hispanic-owned businesses.

Best Company To Launch A Career BusinessWeek, September 8, 2009 For the fourth consecutive year, together with parent company Verizon Communications, Verizon Wireless has been named to BusinessWeek magazine’s list of Best Places to Launch a Career. Of the 69 companies on this year’s list, Verizon was ranked 22nd, higher than any other telecommunications company.
Best Place For Latinas To Work LATINA Style, August 25, 2009 For the seventh consecutive year, together with parent company Verizon Communications, Verizon Wireless has been recognized by LATINA Style as one of the Top 12 companies on its list of the 50 Best Companies for Latinas to work for in the U.S. The LATINA Style survey is an annual evaluation of corporate America’s sensitivity to Latinas’ needs and goals in the workplace, and identifies the corporations that are providing the best career opportunities for Latinas in the U.S.
Honored For Diversity Black Enterprise, July 2009 For the fourth time, together with its parent company Verizon Communications, Verizon Wireless was named to Black Enterprise magazine’s list of 40 Best Companies for Diversity. The companies identified in the special report demonstrated strength and outperformed their peers in one or more key categories including board of directors, employee base, senior management and supplier diversity. The 40 Best Companies for Diversity list was featured in the July issue of Black Enterprise and highlighted two Verizon employees: Anthony Lewis, vice president of open development initiatives for Verizon Wireless; and Limesha Laster, a member of the Verizon Wireless open development team which was formed to stimulate the creation of new and nontraditional wireless devices and services for use on the company's 3G network.
Best Place To Work In IT Computerworld, June 15, 2009 For the seventh consecutive year, Verizon Wireless is the highest ranked wireless company on IDG’s Computerworld annual “Best Places to Work in IT” survey. This year, the company ranked seventh and was once again the highest ranked wireless company on the list. Verizon Wireless was selected as a top work environment by information technology (I.T.) workers who were surveyed, as well as by Computerworld professionals who reviewed the company’s benefits, diversity, career development, training and retention.
Survey Says Our Customers Are The Most Satisfied ACSI, May 19, 2009 For the sixth consecutive year, Verizon Wireless led the industry in customer satisfaction in wireless phone service satisfaction in the American Customer Satisfaction Index (ACSI) survey. A powerful economic indicator, ACSI tracks trends in customer satisfaction and provides valuable benchmarking insights of the consumer economy for companies, industry trade associations, and government agencies.
Customer Loyalty Is The Key Brand Keys, April 2009 Verizon Wireless was recognized as a category winner by Brand Keys in its 2009 Brand Keys Customer Loyalty Engagement Index for high honors in the Wireless Phone Service category. The Brand Keys Customer Loyalty Engagement Index, fielded annually in the spring and fall, examines customers’ relationships with 444 brands in 63 categories. The data paints a detailed picture of the category drivers that engage customers, engender loyalty and drive real profits.
The Best In Call Quality ConsumerSearch.com, March 2009 ConsumerSearch.com rated Verizon Wireless as having the Best Call Quality based on the analysis of third-party reviews and surveys. Verizon Wireless was recognized for the best call quality in many areas, high customer satisfaction and the fewest dropped calls.
Training the Best for the Eighth Consecutive Year Training magazine, January 2009 For the eighth consecutive year, Verizon Wireless’ training and development programs was recognized by Training magazine in its annual “Training Top 125.” Verizon Wireless, jointly with its parent company Verizon Communications, ranked 15th on this year’s list. Verizon Wireless provides employees with the training, resources and educational development opportunities they need to provide customers with the nation’s best wireless network, customer service and sales experience. Training magazine, the training industry’s premiere publication, annually honors organizations based on in-depth analyses of qualitative and quantitative elements of training programs.
