Hosting a HopeLine® phone drive to benefit victims of domestic violence and help the environment is simple. With a little planning and a few promotional materials, you can quickly and easily coordinate a successful event.

Getting Started

Print a few copies of our HopeLine Overview note to share with friends, family and colleagues to get a phone drive started at locations and events such as company outings, school functions, sporting events and churches.

Decide on a date and location for your drive, and determine the length of your collection.

Send an email to info@joypromotionsinc.com to request HopeLine materials to help promote and host your drive.

Publicize your drive in advance to maximize participation using community newspapers, church bulletins, flyers, newsletters, bulletin boards, Facebook, Twitter, and more. Let people know how long phones will be collected, why donations are needed and how the phones will be used.

 During the Collection Event

Place the collection boxes in a visible but secure location.

Ensure collection boxes aren’t getting too full.

Move collections to a storage area as needed.

After the Collection Event

Pack your collected phones, batteries and accessories securely for shipment.

Mail them to HopeLine using our postage-paid label or...

Drop them off at any Verizon Wireless Communications Store. Visit our Store Locator to find a store near you.

Who Can Partner With HopeLine?
Everyone! HopeLine partners with corporations for events and ongoing collections, as well as individuals who want to hold drives in their communities. We’ve even teamed with Boy Scout troops and children for collections to help keep the earth clean and provided materials for consumers who want to include collections at events for personal milestones such as weddings and birthdays.

A Collection of One
No need to host a phone drive to donate phones to HopeLine – we accept them year-round and on an individual basis. HopeLine collects no-longer-used wireless phones from any service provider in any condition for recycling or reuse. So, if you upgrade to a new phone or find an old wireless phone packed away in a drawer, follow the instructions above and mail it to HopeLine or donate it at any Verizon Wireless Communications Store nationwide.
