Seamus Hyland
President - Great Plains Region

Seamus Hyland is president – Great Plains Region for Verizon Wireless, the premier wireless provider with the nation's most reliable wireless voice and data network. Hyland is responsible for sales, service and overall company operations within the region, which encompasses Minnesota, Iowa, North Dakota, South Dakota and Nebraska. He became regional president in March 2010.

Hyland has held a variety of positions with increasing responsibility within Verizon Wireless and its legacy companies for the past 25 years. He most recently served as staff vice president–National Sales Operations at the company’s headquarters in Basking Ridge, N.J., and from late 2008 through 2009, he led the Midwest Area Alltel Integration team.

After beginning his career in accounting and finance, Hyland served in sales leadership positions including: sales manager, district manager and director of both retail and business in the Ohio/Pennsylvania/West Virginia Region.

Hyland earned his Bachelor’s degree in Accounting from Cleveland State University.
