Mario Turco
President - Philadelphia Tri-State Region

Mario Turco is president of the Philadelphia Tri-State Region. In this position, he oversees a $2-billion-a-year operation and more than 2,000 employees for the nation’s leading wireless company with the most reliable voice and data network. He is responsible for sales, marketing, customer service, company-owned retail stores and kiosks and indirect and national retail distribution.

Turco also oversees expansion of the company’s wireless communications network across central and eastern Pennsylvania, southern New Jersey and Delaware. He most recently served as director of business sales for the region. A 13-year veteran of the wireless industry, Turco began his career as a Credit Order & Operations specialist at Bell Atlantic Mobile moving on to assignments of increasing responsibility, including associate director of indirect sales for the Northeast, director of indirect agents and director of retail sales in Philadelphia. He is a two-time winner of the Verizon Wireless President's Cabinet Award given annually to the top 1% of salespeople in the company.

Active in the community, Turco spearheads the company’s HopeLine community relations program in the Philadelphia region. Through the initiative, the company provides wireless phones with free airtime to domestic violence survivors for use in emergency situations and donates money to agencies that serve abuse victims. Turco also serves on the boards of the Greater Philadelphia Chamber of Commerce and the Philadelphia Police Athletic League. He has been recognized by the Philadelphia Business Journal and NJBIZ as a one of the Philadelphia region’s foremost leaders under the age of 40.

Turco earned an undergraduate degree in marketing from Saint Thomas Aquinas College.
