Luis Cruz
President - Southern California Region

Luis M. Cruz is president – Southern California Region for Verizon Wireless, the premier wireless provider with the nation’s largest 4G LTE network and largest, most reliable 3G network. Cruz leads more than 3,000 employees and is responsible for directing overall sales, marketing, operations and financial performance. More than 20 million people live in the region, which includes Imperial, Los Angeles, Orange, Riverside, San Bernardino, San Diego and Ventura counties.

Starting his wireless career as a business development analyst in 1988, Cruz has held a variety of positions with increasing responsibility within Verizon Wireless and its legacy companies. He has led a series of functions, including national distribution, marketing, indirect sales and retail distribution.

Cruz volunteers his time serving on local non-profit boards of directors. He is a board member of The College of Business Administration at San Diego State University; and, CONNECT, a public benefits organization in San Diego.

He graduated from San Diego State University with a degree in Business Administration and a concentration in Finance. He is based in the Southern California Region headquarters in Irvine, California.
