Roger Tang
President - South Area Region

Roger Tang is president – South Area for Verizon Wireless, responsible for the company's operations in the Houston/Gulf Coast, Central Texas, Florida, Carolinas/Tennessee, Georgia/Alabama and South Central regions. Prior to this position, Tang served as the president – Ohio/Pennsylvania/West Virginia Region.

Tang's experience in the wireless industry spans 22 years, all with Verizon Wireless (and predecessor companies). Prior to becoming regional vice president–Pittsburgh for Bell Atlantic Mobile in July 1998, Tang served as executive director of store sales and operations for the company’s Northeast Region. He entered the wireless communications industry in 1988 when he joined MetroMobile in Greenville, South Carolina, which merged with Bell Atlantic Mobile in 1992. Tang held a number of finance and operations positions in the firm’s Southeast Region before moving to the Northeast Region in 1996.

A graduate of SUNY Potsdam, Tang holds a bachelor’s degree in economics and received his master’s of business administration in finance from Adelphi University.
